About the Opportunity

Contentful is building the future of its EMEA sales engine—and we’re looking for a high-impact Director of Inside Sales to lead a newly formed team of early-career Account Executives (AEs), mainly promoted from within our BDR ranks.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of Contentful sales talent. You’ll manage and develop a group of ambitious, coachable AEs in their first full-cycle sales roles, helping them grow from opportunity creators to full lifecycle AE’s. The team will be based in our London office, working side-by-side with Marketing, Sales Ops, SE, Leadership and senior AE teams to accelerate learning, pipeline velocity, and performance.

What to expect?

  • Lead a team of newly promoted Account Executives focused on sub $100m revenue organisations and their opportunities.
  • Provide every day real-time coaching, feedback, and structured development to build full-cycle selling confidence and skill.
  • Implement repeatable sales processes, including qualification frameworks and value-based selling techniques based around MEDDPICC and actively coach against these scoring methodologies
  • Own team pipeline, forecasting, and performance against quota while coaching the team to become proficient at these skills.
  • Collaborate closely with BDR leadership, Marketing,senior sales stakeholders and other parts of Contentful to align on pipeline strategy and progression.
  • Promote a high-performance, growth-oriented team culture where learning and results go hand-in-hand with collaboration and support.

This team will be fully based in our London office, working shoulder-to-shoulder with peers, leadership, and cross-functional teams. Co-location enables:

What you need to be successful

  • 5+ years of sales experience, including leadership of inside sales or full-cycle sales teams
  • Proven ability to coach and develop early-career AEs or BDRs into high-performing sellers
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, ideally with mid-market sales cycles
  • Strong command of pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills
  • Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus
