We are Content Rocket — an international film distribution company that publishes films across YouTube, Amazon, television, and other digital platforms. Our team is small, but our reach is mighty, and we are in need of a Channel Manager to join our stellar Audience Development division. This is a commercial role and will report to the Audience Development Manager.
This person will have at least a couple of years experience in a similar role and be confident to hit the ground running. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, wants to help us grow and is continually looking to improve the way things are done. As you will be working directly on our channels; written and verbal communication competencies are essential. Fluency in English is crucial. Fluency in other languages is a bonus. This position will be fully remote with flexible working. You will also be eligible for a performance-based bonus as well as sick pay.
Duties:
- Managing day to day publishing on our channels; writing copy, tags, community management, all other channel best practices
- Reviewing and feeding into channel strategy on new and existing channels
- Analysis of channel performance; suggesting improvements and creating reports where necessary
- Liaising with Acquisitions team to ensure the channels have a healthy pipeline of content
- Working with our Delivery and Copyright teams to ensure content is ready in the channels, any copyright & monetisation issues are resolved before release
- Maintaining channel schedules and any admin related to the role
- Creation of thumbnail artwork if needed
- Performing quality control and analysis on channels and content when needed
- Curating content and crafting community posts to increase engagement and build community
Requirements
Experience:
- You will have worked with YouTube, Facebook and/or other streaming platforms in a channel management capacity (2 years YouTube experience essential)
- You have hands-on experience with writing copy, scheduling videos and other channel management activities
- You are confident navigating your way round a content schedule and planning out future publishing
- You have spent time working in a team environment, working across disciplines with moving deadlines and differing priorities
- You have knowledge of analytics, interpreting numbers and trends to inform future channel strategy
- You have an editorial eye, ability to differentiate what content you think will perform well in the digital space and for certain audiences
- You are happy to get stuck in, test and trial new ideas and initiatives
- Expert knowledge in YouTube Optimisation and video SEO
- Working with both longform and shortform video content
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- Fluency in English
