Infrastructure Engineer

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Infrastructure Engineer to help support and evolve our cloud platform that powers mission-critical services for some of the world’s most important organisations. What we are looking for…

We’re seeking a motivated mid-level infrastructure professional with at least 2 years of experience in a platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure operations role. You’ll contribute to the design, delivery, and maintenance of our globally distributed cloud infrastructure, working with a wide range of technologies to ensure resilience, scalability and performance.

This role is based at our head office in Bracknell, Berkshire.

Key responsibilities of the role…

Infrastructure Implementation & Support:

  • Design and implement scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions with zero-downtime deployment practices
  • Provide hands-on support for operational issues and contribute to platform reliability

Continuous Improvement & Automation:

  • Automate workflows and processes to reduce manual intervention and enhance operational efficiency
  • Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and DevOps pipelines

Monitoring, Observability & Security:

  • Develop proactive monitoring strategies and contribute to security best practices
  • Participate in incident response, threat simulation and operational runbooks

Troubleshooting & Collaboration:

  • Provide 3rd line support and collaborate with 1st and 2nd line teams to resolve technical issues
  • Work cross-functionally with developers to support seamless deployments

High Availability & Flexibility:

  • Design and implement systems with high availability and disaster recovery in mind
  • Support a global, always-on environment with flexibility to respond to evolving business needs

About you…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a STEM field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant infrastructure or DevOps role
  • Familiarity with a range of operating systems, cloud technologies and hardware
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g. PowerShell, Python)
  • Good understanding of containerisation and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Understanding of security principles and monitoring practices is desirable
