We’re looking for a confident Creative Strategist that is full of ideas to join our growing marketing team here at Contempee. As we continue to grow at pace, our performance marketing function is scaling fast and we’re looking for someone with fresh, innovative ideas to help execute our creative vision across channels. If you love social media, understand what’s needed to create ads that convert and have experience briefing exciting, innovative concepts for paid media channels and organic then we’d love to hear from you.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team, and play an integral role in helping innovate ideas, strategy and creative concepts to be carried out across our digital platforms. We require an analytical, creative individual who can review and optimise content performance, understand performance marketing best practices & confidently pitch and share new ideas and creative concepts to help us grow our marketing function.

As the new Creative Strategist at Contempee you will work collaboratively across creative strategy and content ideation. You will be involved in creative planning sessions, reviewing performance marketing & supporting with briefing concepts for editors, content creators and shoot days. This role is perfect for someone that can balance both creative storytelling with strategy and back creative ideas with data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the in-house editing team & creative lead to develop new creative ideas and concepts based on performance data, audience behaviour and social media trends.
  • Write clear, detailed briefs that can be used for our editors, freelancers and content creators to help them understand the creative direction for the video to ensure best output.
  • Confidently share new ideas and creative concepts to work on based on data, insights and trends you’ve seen in weekly creative meetings with the wider team.
  • Constantly review content performance identifying what is and isn’t working. Understanding of metrics like hold rate, thumb stop ratio, hook rate etc.
  • Stay ahead of trends and the market to spot new ideas and opportunities for growth to work on. Constantly looking for new sources of inspiration and thinking of ways to uniquely adapt concepts and trends to suit our brand and market.
  • Work closely with our editors to ensure we are constantly testing different iterations, styles & hooks to give us better opportunity of finding winning ads for the core creative concept.
  • Support the in-house team with ideating organic & community based content ideas to grow our organic channels across Tiktok and Instagram.
What you’ll bring
  • A love for social media and trends and a clear understanding of what makes paid media content stand out, resonate with audiences & convert.
  • A creative mindset, full of new ideas and the confidence to share those ideas and bring your creative vision to life and being proactive and forthcoming with content ideas to help us grow our performance marketing function.
  • Self-starter mentality, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. We’re looking for someone that can bring something new and innovative to the table and is excited by the opportunity to lead creative ideation.
  • Strong copywriting and communication skills ensuring briefs are detailed, well structured and easily understood. You should be able to easily communicate ideas and creative vision from yourself and the team to ensure content is shot/edited in line with concept ideation.
Skills
  • 2+ years of proven experience in creative strategy for performance marketing, preferably within e-commerce that can be evidenced with a strong portfolio of ads or campaigns where you’ve had input on creative ideation and strategy.
  • Experience working across paid media for META and tracking performance and analysing data.
  • Strong understanding of key performance metrics (HR, TSR, CTR, CVR, CAC, ROAS) and how creative content is a key impact factor to them. Keen eye for spotting what makes a great ad and being able to identify strong hooks and what will make people engage.
  • Experience ideating content and creative concepts for organic social media (Instagram and Tiktok) is a plus.
