Senior Maintenance Engineer Electrical Bias

Location: Willenhall, West Midlands
Salary: £45,000£50,000 depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent

The Role

Contek Recruitment are representing their client, a well-established industrial business based in Willenhall, West Midlands, who are looking to appoint a Senior Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias.

This is a hands-on senior engineering position within a busy industrial environment.

You will be responsible for maintaining plant and equipment, responding to breakdowns, completing preventative maintenance and supporting the wider engineering team.

The role would suit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to take on additional responsibility, including leading maintenance activities, ensuring compliance and coordinating contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the site maintenance team.
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance.
  • Complete electrical diagnostics and fault-finding.
  • Respond to machinery breakdowns and minimise downtime.
  • Take ownership of preventative maintenance systems.
  • Ensure plant and equipment remains safe, reliable and compliant.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Coordinate external contractors and specialist engineering companies.
  • Work closely with production to maximise plant availability.
  • Promote safe working practices throughout the site.
  • Identify recurring faults and implement corrective actions.

The site operates a varied range of heavy industrial equipment, including specialist processing machinery, centrifuge/spinning equipment, heating and drying systems, chemical treatment equipment, pumps, motors, fume extraction systems, cooling equipment and automated material handling systems.

The environment also includes overhead cranes, hoists, lifting equipment, electrical control panels and associated industrial infrastructure. xgikmsk
