HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Engineer
Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Three-shift rotating pattern (06:00–15:00, 07:00–16:00, and 13:00–22:00 — flexible shift options available)
Overtime: 1 in 3 Saturdays (07:00–13:00) paid at enhanced overtime rates
Salary: The company will offer you a competetive payrate based on your experience
Holiday Allowance: 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Engineer to join a busy, industry-leading commercial workshop. Operating as an official main franchise service partner for major manufacturers—including Mercedes-Benz, Isuzu, Daimler Buses, and Irizar—the facility handles maintenance, servicing, and diagnostics for heavy goods vehicles, buses, coaches, and diverse mixed fleets.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, safety inspections, maintenance, and comprehensive repairs on a wide variety of HGVs, light commercials, buses, coaches, and trailers.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and software to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing, ensuring full compliance with high safety and regulatory standards.
- Accurately complete job sheets, inspection records, and service documentation. xgikmsk
