We are currently seeking an Experienced Press Setter/Tool Setter and part-operator within the company. The company undertakes presswork, deep drawn components, and toolmaking amongst other operations. Working in a variety of standard and exotic metals including aluminium, steel, stainless steel and others.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Set mechanical presses up to 800 tons.
  • Set hydraulic presses up to 200 tons.
  • Set tandem presses.
  • Operate presses when required (common on development jobs or small batch work).
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Exhibit good organisation skills (especially with press shop tooling).
  • Have a clear capability of reading and working to technical drawings.
  • Any additional experience/capability on lathes will be an advantage.

Qualifications:

Candidates should be experienced, possess relevant certification and have a proven track record in Press Setting, including the setting of mechanical, hydraulic, tandem with other press shop related machinery.
