A leading organisation in the healthcare transport sector is seeking a skilled Mobile Technician to join its dynamic team. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £40,000 per year, dependent on experience. Key Responsibilities
- Fleet Maintenance: Conduct routine servicing, Planned Maintenance Inspections (PMI), and prepare vehicles for MOT.
- Mobile & Breakdown Support: Attend vehicle breakdowns and recover vehicles back to the depot as needed.
- Diagnostics & Repairs: Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, and perform repairs on brakes, steering, suspension, clutches, and batteries.
- Specialist Equipment Care: Inspect and test specialist ambulance equipment alongside standard vehicle components.
- Compliance: Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and meet emergency-use standards.
The role comes with a van and so you will start from home every day and go direct to jobs.
Skills, Experience, and Education
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with team members and clients.
- Knowledge/Expertise: NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) with 23 years of industry experience.
- Innovation: Proficiency in using diagnostic devices and exposure to hybrid/electric vehicle systems.
- Business Impact: Ability to maintain a diverse fleet of specialised vehicles, ensuring they are compliant and ready for emergency use.
