Contek have formed a fantastic partnership with a client in Reading who specialise in the manufacture of high-volume and small-batch precision components for sectors including fluid power, medical, and specialist automotive. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead sales growth and customer engagement. This role offers a clear succession plan into a General Manager position, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress into senior leadership. This is a salaried position based on a 40-hour working week and includes a company car or car allowance.

Role Overview

  • Drive business growth by developing existing customer accounts within CNC manufacturing sectors.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across a range of industries, expanding into new markets.
  • Promote the company’s full manufacturing capabilities, including:
  • Sliding head CNC machining
  • Multi-axis milling and turning
  • Auto-spindle machining
  • EDM machining
  • Build strong relationships with customers, acting as a key point of contact for technical and commercial discussions.
