This position would suit a highly skilled Toolmaker or CNC Machinist who enjoys working on complex, one-off and small batch precision components, taking ownership of jobs from programming through to finished inspection.
The Role
Working within a clean, well-equipped machine shop, you will be responsible for manufacturing precision tooling, fixtures and bespoke machined components to extremely tight tolerances. You will play a key role in producing high-quality work while supporting continuous improvement across the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming, setting and operating CNC machinery using Fanuc controls.
- Manufacturing precision tooling, fixtures and specialist components.
- Producing components from engineering drawings to tight tolerances.
- Using Fusion 360 for machining strategies and model manipulation.
- Editing and optimising CNC programs where required.
- Maintaining the highest quality standards throughout production.
- Solving machining and manufacturing challenges independently.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver projects on time.
Candidate Requirements
- Time-served Toolmaker or experienced CNC Machinist.
- Strong Fanuc programming experience is essential.
- Previous experience within precision engineering.
- Experience producing high-accuracy tooling or fixtures.
- Fusion 360 experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with EZCAM Mill Pro would be advantageous, although full training can be provided.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Experience working to micron-level tolerances.
