They buy, process, and recycle all grades of ferrous and non-ferrous metals including aluminium, copper, brass, steel, and iron, providing eco-friendly waste management solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial clients across the Midlands and the UK.
The Role
They are looking for a reliable, hard-working Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join our transport team operating out of our Birmingham yard. You will be responsible for transporting scrap metal products, picking up bulk collections from industrial and commercial customer sites, and delivering processed materials safely and on schedule.
Driver Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 2 vehicles (e.g., skip, hook loader, or flatbed vehicles) to collect and drop off scrap metal loads.
- Conduct daily pre-shift vehicle checks, reporting any defects promptly.
- Ensure all loads are correctly secured and weighed accurately before departure and upon return to the yard.
- Assist with loading and unloading where required, following site safety protocols at all times.
- Complete relevant delivery notes and accurate digital tachograph records.
- Act as a professional representative for Countrywide Metals.
