Location: Worcester
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Double Days Shift) - Monday to Friday (6am until 2pm & 2pm until 10pm)
PAY: £18 - £19 per hour (£36k - £38k per year)
About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Toolmaker to join a busy and well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a professional Toolroom environment, supporting production through maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain die and trim tool condition in line with TPM programmes
- Support production by responding to machine and tooling breakdowns
- Carry out scheduled tooling changes to meet production demands
- Assist with wider Toolroom activities and priorities as required
- Identify and implement continuous improvements to enhance tooling reliability
- Work in a disciplined and methodical manner, adhering to company procedures and Health & Safety requirements
- Promote a proactive “can-do” culture within the team
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven skills in turning, milling, grinding, and bench fitting
- Experience in stripping and assembling dies and trim tools
- Previous experience in a Toolroom environment (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and drive solutions through to completion
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude
Desirable (Training Provided)
- Experience using Overhead Cranes / FLT
- TIG welding experience
