The Opportunity
Join a thriving, family-run engineering group during a period of record-breaking growth. Boasting the largest order book in their history, this company is looking to expand their capacity. While the workshop is currently at full capacity, they are prepared to invest in and set up a brand-new weld bay specifically for the right candidate.
The Role
This position offers a mix of high-volume production and bespoke fabrication. You will be working on essential equipment ranging from agricultural machinery to specialized mobility aids (such as disabled bathing lifts and support bars).
- Welding Disciplines: Primarily MIG welding with some TIG requirements.
- Workload: A blend of repeat batch work for long-term staple customers (batches of 50–100) and smaller, specific design projects (batches of 10).
- Fabrication: Involvement in tube bending and working with various metal components to high safety standards.
Working Hours & Overtime
Enjoy a favourable shift pattern with an early finish every Friday:
- Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00 (30-minute lunch)
- Friday: 07:00 – 12:00
- Total: 39 hours per week
Overtime Opportunities: There is plenty of overtime available.
