Contek are working with a client in Cornwall who manufacture precision parts for various sectors including Defence, General manufacturing and Automotive markets. Through growth, we are looking for experienced CNC Setters (Milling or Turning) to join the team on a permanent basis. They offer 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC Precision Milling, CNC Turning, CNC Grinding, EDM Spark erosion and EDM Wire erosion.
Key objectives and areas of responsibility:
- Experience in setting and running HAAS CNC mills would be beneficial.
- Experience in setting and running Multi Axis CNC lathes.
- Experience required in setting and operating XYZ Prototrak controls would be beneficial.
- Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and apply these to the machined components.
- Maintaining the company's long tradition of supplying quality products to a wide client base.
- Has responsibility for working with both small and large batch sizes on high value components.
- Successful applicants will need to be self-motivated and able to work to customer-specific deadlines.
The salary is negotiable depending on the experience of the successful candidate. Benefits include:
- 20-25 days holiday plus bank holidays relating to long service.
- Free onsite car parking.
- Working hours: Basic 39hr week - Day shift = Mon/Thurs 7.30am - 4.30pm, Fri 7.30am - 12.30pm; Morning shift = Mon/Thurs 6am - 2.00pm, Fri 6am - 1.00pm; Late shift = Mon/Thurs 2.00pm – 10pm, Fri 1pm - 8.00pm.
- Sick scheme available to employees after 1 full year's employment.
