Contek Recruitment Solutions are representing their client, a highly respected and long-established precision engineering company specialising in the manufacture of complex, high-integrity components for demanding industrial sectors. Serving industries where reliability and precision are critical, they provide a complete in-house machining, inspection and finishing service, producing components to tight tolerances using a wide range of materials including challenging and exotic alloys.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking experienced CNC Machinists, Millers and Turners to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Role
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Create, download, edit, archive, read and interpret CNC programs
- Set and operate CNC milling and/or turning machines
- Work confidently with CNC control systems, including Fanuc and/or Hurco controls
- Inspect components and accurately record all relevant dimensions
- Complete all required documentation and labour bookings
- Carry out basic machine maintenance
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Good and demonstrable knowledge of appropriate tooling
- Strong understanding of cutting and machining conditions
- Experience using measuring equipment
- Familiarity with Fanuc and/or Hurco CNC control systems
- The ability to work well and engage effectively with other team members
Salary & Hours
Basic Salary: Circa £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent upon shift pattern and experience)
Hours: 39 hours per week
Rotational Shifts:
- Days: Monday - Thursday 06:00 - 14:35 & Friday 06:00 - 12:00
- Nights: Monday - Wednesday 16:00 - 02:20 & Thursday 16:00 - 01:20 Night shift premium paid at x1.5
There are also opportunities available for permanent days or permanent nights.
