My Client has grown into one of the largest speciality machinists and suppliers of plastics in the United Kingdom. They are a leading UK based specialist manufacturer, excelling in the design and manufacture of machined and fabricated components, along with engineering and supply services for over 30 years. Due to further expansion and promotion internally, they are looking for skilled CNC Turners and Millers (Setter/Operator) to join their machining department and work on production machining projects.
Hours of work: Mon to Thur 7.50am to 4.20pm, Fri 8.00am to 3.30pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating CNC lathes or CNC mills for some of the following machinery: HAAS UMC-750, HAAS UMC-500 with automated pallet loader, HAAS VF4SS, HAAS VM3, HAAS VF4 with vac table, HAAS Minimill, Bridgeport Mill, DN Solutions PUMA GT 3100L, DN Solutions LYNX 2600SY, Tornado A90, XYZ RLX 555 lathe.
- Producing precision machined components to tight tolerances for a range of industries, including F1, sub-sea, offshore, and food/drink.
- Working from detailed technical engineering drawings.
- Ensuring all manufactured components meet the highest standards of quality and precision.
- Working closely with the engineering team to optimise processes and meet production deadlines.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that may arise during machining.
- The ability and knowledge to machine a wide range of plastics and metals.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a CNC turning or milling position within a precision machining environment is required.
- Previous experience setting and operating is required.
- Ideally having experience with machining plastics or the ability to transfer skills from different materials machined.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Commitment to adhering to workplace safety standards and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work with precision and maintain high-quality standards.
