We are looking for an experienced, apprentice-trained Fabricator/Welder to join our growing team in Pontefract. This role is initially temporary, with a strong opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. This is not a production welding role; we are looking for someone who can fabricate, assemble, and assist with installation of automatic industrial gates and associated steelwork.
The Role
- Fabrication and assembly of automatic gates and bespoke steelwork
- MIG welding to a high standard
- Working from engineering drawings
- Workshop-based with some on-site installation work
What We're Looking For
- Apprentice-trained and qualified Fabricator/Welder
- Proven fabrication experience (not just production welding)
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- Ability to work independently and maintain high standards
- Clean driving licence preferred
Pay & Benefits
- £17.00 - £18.50 per hour (depending on experience and ability)
- Overtime after 45 hours: 1.33x (midweek)
- Weekend overtime: 1.5x
- Opportunity to secure a permanent position
- Higher rates considered for candidates with strong site experience or gate/automation background.
