Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd are working on behalf of our prestigious client, who have been in business for 50 years and are a contract hire and vehicle rental business. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, and dynamic multi-disciplined Mobile HGV Technician to join their Tamworth team.
Job Purpose: To carry out the service & repair of HGV1 Vehicles and light commercial vehicles – Including routine servicing, MOT preparation and chassis and body repairs and fault diagnosis.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To work under your own initiative and visit customers premises to carry out Routine maintenance & servicing.
- MOT preparation, remedial repairs as directed by the Workshop Controller & the Service Centre management team.
- Ensuring all work is carried out to DVSA standard including the completion of all associated paperwork.
- Promoting good housekeeping within the workshop environment and guarantee customer satisfaction.
Quality & Environmental Responsibilities: Responsible for the management, compliance and upkeep of the quality & environmental procedures, records, and documents relevant to the role.
Salary: up to £57,200 dependant on experience
Location: Tamworth
Hours: 50 hours per week, days and afternoons.
PPE and uniform: all supplied.
Essential / Desirable Knowledge:
- Time served experience in the maintenance and repair of HGV vehicles or similar in a workshop environment or as an on-site engineer E
- Understanding of latest DVSA regulations & legislation. D
- Understanding of workplace health & safety requirements E
Experience:
- Experience of both Body and chassis repairs E
- Experience in repair of RCV’s D
- Time serviced Technician E
Education / Qualifications:
- Year 3 City & Guilds or equivalent E
- HGV License D
- Product trained D
- Volvo Tech Tool trained D
- Allision Transmission Trained D
Job-related skills & abilities:
- Good diagnostic skills E
