Operating for over 75 years, our client specialises in large-scale manual milling and has recently expanded their capabilities to include CNC milling alongside their established manual machining services. Serving a diverse customer base across multiple industries, the company prides itself on delivering high-quality, precision-engineered components and solutions. Due to a continued influx of long-standing contracts and sustained business growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Manual Machinist to join their skilled engineering team.
The Successful Machinist Package
- £28,000 to £32,000 per annum (OTE up to £51,500 per annum)
- Permanent day shift:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 3:30pm
- Friday: 7:00am - 2:30pm
- Overtime available (rate, up to 11 hours per week)
- 33 days holiday (including bank holidays and one fixed week)

The Successful Machinist Requirements
- Previous experience operating 3-axis manual milling machines
- Experience machining large components would be advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Competent in milling, drilling, boring and tapping operations
- Ability to inspect own work using a range of measuring equipment including:
- DTI gauges
- Verniers
- Micrometers
- Slip gauges
- Depth gauges
- Overhead crane experience would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
