An established and growing
precision engineering and manufacturing business
is looking for an experienced
TIG & MIG Welder / Fabricator
to join its skilled welding and fabrication team. The company manufactures precision-engineered components, fabrications and assemblies for a range of demanding industries. This is a quality-focused manufacturing environment where precision, consistency and attention to detail are essential. We're looking for someone who is confident using
both TIG and MIG welding processes
and can produce high-quality work from engineering and fabrication drawings. The Role
As a
TIG & MIG Welder / Fabricator , you will be responsible for producing precision components and fabricated assemblies to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include: TIG and MIG welding stainless steel, mild steel and other materials.
Fabricating components and assemblies from engineering drawings.
Working from CAD drawings, fabrication drawings and technical specifications.
Welding thin-gauge materials, including material down to
1mm .
Welding stainless steel across a range of material thicknesses, potentially up to
12mm .
Setting up and preparing materials for welding and fabrication.
Checking completed work for quality, finish and dimensional accuracy.
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and weld quality.
Working to production requirements while maintaining quality standards.
Supporting continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.
About You
We're looking for an experienced
TIG & MIG Welder / Fabricator
with: Strong TIG and MIG welding experience.
Proven experience welding
stainless steel
and mild steel.
Experience working with thin-gauge materials, ideally down to
1mm .
The ability to confidently read and work from engineering and CAD drawings.
Strong fabrication skills and an understanding of engineering processes.
Excellent attention to detail.
A quality-first approach to your work.
A practical, hands-on approach with pride in your workmanship.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good reliability, attendance and punctuality.
Desirable Experience
Time-served Welder / Fabricator.
Experience working within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
Experience working with a range of material types and thicknesses.
Experience operating engineering plant and machinery.
Experience working to formal welding or quality standards.
Previous experience producing components or assemblies for demanding engineering applications.
