Facilities Maintenance Engineer Location- Tipton and Oldbury Sites

Hrs of Work - Core hours are Monday 08:00-16:30, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 07:00-16:30 and Friday 08:00-13:00, however flexibility is a must to meet business needs.

Rate TBC, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE.

Overview of Role: To undertake effective maintenance and preventative maintenance of both facilities (2 sites that deliver Case Making, Packing and Storage services) and equipment (Nail Guns, Air Compressors, Mechanical Saws, Drills etc.) and support statutory inspections to ensure the continued effectiveness of the business's day to day activities.

Mandatory Experience in the following areas:

  • Dealing with Machine/Tool breakdowns
  • Identification and sourcing of replacement parts
  • Portable Appliance Testing
  • Ladders/Cranes/Slings/Chains/Forklift Trucks/Company Vehicle, Emergency Lighting, Racking etc. repairs, inspections and reports
  • Liaising with external specialists where applicable
  • Facilities Maintenance (Electrical, Plumbing, building etc)

Coupled with a working knowledge of regulations for:

  • Working at heights
  • Asbestos
  • Ladder and racking inspections
  • Health and Safety and Risk Assessments

And in possession of the following mandatory Skills:

  • Safety awareness
  • General maintenance
  • Attention to detail
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Problem solver
  • Flexibility
  • Self-motivated/driven
  • Happy with Lone working

Holders of the following mandatory Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering qualification
  • PAT Tester
  • Driving Licence as some travel between two sites required
  • Recent and up to date IEE Wiring Regulations (19th edition)
  • C G Parts 2 3 Electrical Engineers Installation
  • First Aid
