HGV Technician – Days (4 on 4 off) Locations: Preston (PR5 8AQ) Salary: OTE £50,000+ per annum + Excellent Benefits Package Hours: Full-Time, Permanent (4 on 4 Off Shift Pattern) About the Role Are you a qualified HGV Technician looking for a new opportunity with one of the UK's leading major truck manufacturers? Do you have solid experience working on commercial vehicles within a busy workshop environment? We are seeking skilled Day Shift Technicians to join our modern workshop teams in Preston and Manchester on a full-time, permanent basis. Key Responsibilities Interpret job cards, repair orders, and technical bulletins to carry out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs to manufacturer specifications. Accurately record work done, tests carried out, and report any additional vehicle faults or required maintenance promptly. Maintain high standards of health and safety, keeping work areas, tools, and equipment clean, safe, and well-maintained. Protect customer and company property while delivering an efficient, quality-focused service. Attend ongoing technical training to stay up to date with modern commercial vehicle technologies. Requirements & Qualifications Completed formal HGV / Heavy Vehicle Apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent). Proven workshop experience working on heavy commercial vehicles (HGVs). Strong computer and diagnostic skills with in-depth commercial vehicle industry knowledge. Right to work in the UK and strong spoken/written English. What We Offer £1,000 Referral Bonus.
