Our Client is the UK's largest manufacturer and supplier of precast concrete solutions. They offer an extensive range of quality precast concrete solutions that include drainage and water management, tunnels and shafts, rail, power and infrastructure, walling, fencing, agricultural, flooring, filter bed systems, bespoke precast, tanks and chambers, dock leveller pit systems, box culverts, building products and architectural & structural products. Our client employs around 1,600 people, making them the largest precast concrete manufacturers in the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all maintenance requirements within the depot.
- Good understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical systems.
- Reactive maintenance and fault diagnosis on all production equipment.
- Implement existing maintenance procedures and develop new more efficient processes, if required.
- Ability to carry out services and repair of heavy duty plant (FLT, MEWP, Telehandler, HGV).
- Carry out periodic inspections in line with company CMMS and sign off appropriately.
- Work alongside machine operators for machine set ups and change overs.
- Ensure work is carried out to the highest standard and in the interests of the company.
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activity.
- Ensuring compliance with the company's policies including Health, Safety and Environmental.
- Prepared to carry out facilities tasks.

Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience as a maintenance engineer.
- A solid understanding of the technical aspects of automated mechanical systems and electrical systems.
- Happy to develop and adapt skill set.
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
- Good computer skills with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage a number of tasks concurrently.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be self-motivated to arrange daily diary and work as part of a team without constant supervision.
- Comfortable working at height.
- The ability to work calmly under pressure – ability to manage multiple tasks ensuring attention to detail.
- Hold a valid UK driving licence.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience working in Precast Concrete Manufacturing.
- Familiar with the principles of lean manufacturing.
- A solid understanding of the technical aspects of automated electrical systems.
- Experience in an automated production environment.
- IPAF certified.
- Fabrication.
