Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair faults on vehicle chassis and mounted equipment
- Carry out servicing and maintenance to a high standard
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications
- Use diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues
- Log all work using PDA software and maintain accurate service records
Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Communication: Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to clearly explain technical issues to customers
- Knowledge/Expertise: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance; strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills; knowledge of vehicle technology systems and compliance standards
- Innovation: Experience with electric vehicles, IRTEC qualification, or HGV Class 2 licence is a bonus; general computer literacy and ability to complete technical documentation
