Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair faults on vehicle chassis and mounted equipment
  • Carry out servicing and maintenance to a high standard
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications
  • Use diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues
  • Log all work using PDA software and maintain accurate service records

Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Communication: Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to clearly explain technical issues to customers
  • Knowledge/Expertise: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance; strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills; knowledge of vehicle technology systems and compliance standards
  • Innovation: Experience with electric vehicles, IRTEC qualification, or HGV Class 2 licence is a bonus; general computer literacy and ability to complete technical documentation
