About the client: Our client is a large manufacturing company with two sections in the business. This role is for the structural steel department, working at their site in Watford. Due to growth, they are looking for a permanent MIG Welder.
As a Fabricator, your duties will include:
- Fabricating
- Building large assemblies from engineering drawings
- Working on structural steel (experience with structural steel is essential)
- Conducting quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Plating work – marking-out, prepping, fabricating big items
- Using workshop machinery (bandsaw, drills, grinders, press brake, etc.)
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace, ensuring that all equipment is properly stored and maintained
- Fabricating components according to specifications and technical drawings
As a Fabricator, you will work:
- Monday – Friday
- 7am – 5pm, 2pm finish on Fridays
- 1 hour break between 12pm – 1pm
- £17 - £22 per hour
