The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Design Office Manager to lead and develop our design team (4 designers + 2 trainees). You’ll oversee design delivery from concept through to fabrication, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the design team.
  • Oversee 3D modelling and detailed design in SolidWorks.
  • Manage FARO point cloud integration for accurate as-built models.
  • Coordinate with project, engineering, and fabrication teams.
  • Maintain CAD standards and drive process improvements.

  • Proven experience leading a design team in an engineering or fabrication environment.
  • Skilled in SolidWorks and handling point cloud data.
  • Background in structural steelwork within utilities, nuclear, or defence sectors.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
