Product Design Engineer LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY. Contek are working with a client near Stafford who are looking for a Design Engineer to join their experienced Design dept. This position offers variety, progression and the ability for personal input in customer design work where bespoke options are offered. You will be joining a long-standing company with a growing order book that has been proven over time to provide a high quality service. Responsibilities: * Responsible for the design, development and project management of solutions for their customer base. * Producing 3D CAD Models. * Produce drawings for manufacture. * Bill of Materials. * Supporting production with prototype builds and first off builds. * Ensure legislation is being followed during design to manufacture. * Work with production to improve processes of design and production where possible. * Support ongoing development of designs and manufacturing processes. Desired: * Engineering Qualification or sufficient experience. * Experience of working in a fast paced environment. * Professional and effective communicaton. * Attention to detail. * Strong organisation skills. * Experience of using SolidWorks or similar CAD packages.
