About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Miller (Setter/Operator) to join their machining team at their Bredbury, Stockport facility. This is a day-shift position working primarily on HB milling machinery, focusing on setting and operating to produce high-quality machined components. Programming is not required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Producing components to engineering drawings and specifications
- Conducting in-process inspection using standard measuring equipment
- Maintaining machining quality and efficiency standards
- Supporting continuous improvement and safe working practices
- Ensuring accurate job documentation and process adherence
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller (Setter/Operator)
- Experience with Fanuc controls (editing)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Competence with inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
- High attention to detail and quality standards
- Team-focused with a proactive approach to work
