My client is a specialist manufacturer of specialist tooling, providing reliable subcontract machining services across the West Midlands and throughout Europe.

They deliver complete end-to-end and turnkey machining solutions, alongside a nationwide 24/7 breakdown service and in-house machining.

They are looking to recruit a CNC Miller on a permanent basis to join a small, close-knit team of 78 staff.

This is a hands-on role focused on programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines in a precision manufacturing environment.

Key

Responsibilities: Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines.

Create and optimise programs using Fanuc controls or CAD/CAM software (ONECNC or Fusion 360).

Set tooling, work offsets, and prove out new programs.

Manufacture components from engineering drawings to tight tolerances.

Edit and optimise programs to improve efficiency and quality.

Monitor machining processes and maintain quality standards.

Inspect components using appropriate measuring equipment.

Work closely with the production team to meet production schedules.

Adhere to health, safety, and quality procedures.

Requirements: Proven experience as a CNC Miller (Programmer / Setter / Operator).

Experience programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines.

Either

Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls and offline/on-machine programming, or Experience using ONECNC or Fusion 360 for CAD/CAM programming.

Ability to set machines from scratch and prove out programs.

Good understanding of machining principles, tooling, and workholding.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

High attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.

Reliable team player with good communication skills.
