Contek are working with a small, traditional precision CNC Manufacturing client in Northampton – who are a typical sub-contract manufacturing outfit supplying small batch parts to various sectors including the food industry, Motorsport, Aircraft and Pump assembly markets. They are looking for experienced CNC Miller's due to retirements – We are looking for machinists who can Program, set and operate on 3/4 axis machinery (Online controls with either Hurco/Haas systems). Mon-Thurs: 7:30-4:00pm, 7:30-3:00pm CNC Miller Programmer, Setter Operator Experiences and skills required. * Ideally apprenticed trained and from a time served engineering background. * Strong experience programming, setting and operating machines. * Experienced with programming Hurco (Winmax) or Haas controls. Will consider other operating systems such as Heidenhain/Mazatrol/Fanuc etc. * Strong Computer skills * Competent in self-inspection. * Able to interpret and work to engineering drawings. * Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and Datum system * Ability to work in a versatile sub-contract environment. * Manufacturing of small batch parts Role * Program, Set and run CNC Mills. * Produce programmes and parts to drawing and at commercially viable cycle times. * Communicate effectively and aid other when necessary in the setting up process. * Review new sub contract enquiries to produce accurate cycle times and tooling requirements for the sales team. * Experience with 3/4 axis machinery. * Permanent position available. * Lots of overtime available due to the nature of retirements and workload * Hourly Rate dependent on skill level
