Contek Recruitment Services are collaborating with our client who are the largest DAF Trucks Dealer Group in Europe and the largest independent commercial vehicle dealer group in the UK, seeking a dedicated DAFAid HGV Technician. Offering a competitive salary of £40k - £45k with an OTE of £70k, this role comes with a range of attractive benefits including 23 days holiday rising to 25, vehicle discounts, Bupa medical insurance, employee discounts, full manufacturer training, and extensive company benefits such as HGV Licence, Tachograph, Forklift, and Roadside Awareness Training.
Hours and Pay:
- Week 1: Monday to Friday 06.00am - 14.30pm
- Week 2: Monday to Friday 13.00pm - 21.30pm
- 1 Week in 4 on 24/7 callouts

Key Responsibilities:
- Attend and carry out roadside repairs efficiently and safely.
- Report on the vehicle's condition both orally and in writing.
- Observe, recognise, and report on vehicle defects or symptoms of failure.
- Repair or replace parts in line with manufacturer instructions.
- Continually develop and maintain product knowledge to stay current with industry standards.
Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to report vehicle conditions and defects accurately.
- Knowledge/Expertise: Time-served HGV Technician with a Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance/City & Guilds and experience working on HGVs.
- Innovation: Mechanical ability and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Business Impact: Ability to perform repairs and replacements in line with manufacturer instructions, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction.

- Ensure timely and effective completion of all assigned tasks.
