to join a highly skilled machine shop team. This role involves setting, programming, and operating Hurco CNC milling machines to manufacture high-precision components. You will work from technical drawings to produce low-to-medium volume batch work alongside prototype components for a variety of demanding industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities Program, set, and operate Hurco CNC milling machines using WinMax controls.
Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric tolerances.
Select appropriate tooling, feeds, speeds, and work-holding solutions for specific materials.
Inspect finished parts using standard precision measuring tools (vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
Perform basic routine maintenance on machines and keep working areas safe and clean.
Resolve technical issues efficiently and maintain high standards of accuracy.
Candidate Requirements Proven, hands-on experience as a CNC Miller within a precision engineering environment.
Direct experience programming, setting, and operating
Hurco CNC milling machines
(WinMax control experience is essential).
Strong capability in reading and working directly from technical blueprints.
Solid understanding of cutting tools, metal cutting techniques, and material properties.
Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a reliable team-player mindset.
