Mechanical Fitter – Rotherham – £18 per hour
About the client
Our client is a trusted specialist in the repair, maintenance and manufacture of industrial pumps. Supplying sectors such as water, oil & gas, and general manufacturing, they pride themselves on quality service and reliability. Due to continued growth, they are looking to welcome an experienced Mechanical Fitter to their team.
About the Mechanical Fitter position
- Assemble, install and service a wide range of pump systems, including centrifugal, diaphragm and screw pumps
- Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on pumps and associated systems
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical (and basic electrical) faults
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors and site personnel to deliver high-quality results
The ideal person for this Mechanical Fitter role will
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter (ideally with industrial pumps)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools and workshop equipment
- Hands-on experience with centrifugal, screw and diaphragm pumps is highly desirable
- Full UK Driving Licence advantageous (occasional site work required)
