Plumbing And Heating Engineer in City of London

Contek Recruitment are working with a well-established and expanding plumbing and heating contractor, and they are looking to add an experienced Domestic Plumbing & Heating Engineer to their team.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship and providing an excellent customer experience. You will be working across domestic properties, including new-build sites, carrying out installation, service, and maintenance works.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair domestic heating systems, in both domestic dwellings and new-build developments, including radiators, and underfloor heating.
• Carry out general plumbing tasks such as 1st fix of hot & cold pipe work, 1st & 2nd fix of bathrooms, running heating pipe work.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations and health & safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with clients.
• Maintain accurate job records and reports.
• Keep tools, equipment, and company vehicle (if provided) in good working condition.

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent qualification).
• Proven experience in domestic plumbing and heating work.
• Full Clean UK driving licence.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility during high demand periods.

Desirable

• Gas Safe registered (or working towards registration).
• Unvented hot water qualification (G3).
• Experience with renewable heating systems (e.g. air source heat pumps).
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• DBS check (or willingness to undergo one if required for the role).
