Through growing contracts our development is continuous, and as a result, we are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced pest management technician, or a trainee, to join our team in the Reading (RG) area.

What will my role entail? The position will be fast‑paced and demanding, focusing on troubleshooting pest‑related issues for our diverse clientele to address their pest concerns. We believe in delivering outstanding customer service and problem‑solving – it’s the heart of our business. We are looking for individuals who enjoy working in pest control. If you lack prior experience, do not worry; we will work closely with you to train you up to become one of our first‑fix champions! You’ll be working 40 hours per week, with overtime available. This van‑based role will involve inspections and treatments for both commercial and residential properties, site surveys, and offering guidance to customers. Problem‑solving and risk reduction are central to the way we work.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting customer premises and reporting on the extent of pest infestations.
  • Planning and executing a treatment program employing pesticides to control pests.
  • Compiling clear and informative reports on all inspections, including treatment details.
  • Actively seeking and promoting additional and new work opportunities.
  • Participating in training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills.
  • Completing the targeted training schemes; we’re committed to your success and advancement.

What are we looking for in an individual?

  • BPCA/RSPH Level 2 qualification in pest management, or a willingness to undergo training to attain this standard.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Proficiency in using apps and smartphones.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to create meaningful, informative reports.
  • A positive mindset even in stressful situations – we appreciate those who enjoy their work.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence when interacting with customers of all backgrounds.
  • The ability to work independently while knowing that support is always available.
