Responsibilities
- Join the vehicle dynamics team to deliver the ride, steering and handling of future world class vehicles.
- The role is focused on supporting the tuning and integration of all aspects of dynamics attribute delivery from concept to production.
- You will gain experience across multiple vehicle dynamics disciplines while supporting the Senior engineer in delivery, but also be expected to manage and deliver technical projects.
- Support the definition of all vehicle dynamics attribute targets.
- Facilitate testing, tuning and parts integration plans.
- Ensure Vehicle Dynamics requirements are cascaded and transacted in system and component teams.
- Demonstrates vehicle performance status vs target to stakeholders and customers.
Experience Required
- Significant understanding of vehicle dynamics fundamentals.
- Strong organisation and project management skills.
- Detail focused.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Aware of relevant vehicle dynamics development methods including subjective/objective evaluation.
- A passion for the automotive industry and keen interest in cars.
- An aptitude for driving.
- Highly motivated & goal-driven.
- Resilient and enthusiastic, an individual able to deliver results under pressure, whilst responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs.
- Mechanical, Automotive, Aeronautical, or other relevant Engineering Degree or academic qualifications.
Experience Preferred
- Some experience tuning road vehicles, subjective evaluation and demonstrable proving ground experience (or experience of track driving in personal life).
- Previous experience leading the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a project team environment.
- Understanding of relevant CAE methods and system/component level testing.
