I am currently recruiting on behalf of a client who are creating exceptional cars that blend British elegance with ferocious intelligence to forge a new legacy forever. They are looking for a Senior Interior Design Engineer to join their team on a long term rolling contract basis working 42 hours per week.
Job Description
- Having successfully delivered projects from concept to SOP with established OEMs or Tier 1 in the automotive industry.
- 3D CAD & 2D Drawings - Expertise in complex assemblies and detailed 2D/3D designs.
- 3D CAD & 2D Drawings - Establish and refine design standards and best practices.
- GD&T and Tolerancing - Develop advanced tolerance schemes that optimize manufacturability and performance.
- GD&T and Tolerancing - mastering BS 8888:2020 and ISO GPS.
- Material Selection - In-depth understanding of materials for interior production, cost, and compliance.
- Material Selection - Able to propose materials and discuss new design solutions.
- DFMEA & Feasibility Analysis - active participation in DFMEA initiatives and perform comprehensive feasibility analyses to refine designs.
- Surface Design & Styling - Independently manage surface design analysis and change requests.
- Surface Design & Styling - Tool concept design proposals, moulding directions, sliders and complex tool inserts analysis.
