Location: Rotherham
Key Responsibilities:
- Composite Trimming & Finishing
- Perform hand trimming of composite components using air tools and hand tools (e.g. Dremel, die grinders, routers)
- Trim parts to precise tolerances in line with engineering drawings and trim fixtures
- Ensure accurate edge finishes and dimensional conformity
- Work on complex geometries and high-value components (e.g. body panels, aerodynamic surfaces)
Preparation for Paint (Prime & Paint Readiness)
- Prepare composite surfaces for paint, including:
- Sanding and surface finishing
- Filling minor imperfections (pinholes, surface defects)
- Surface cleaning and degreasing
- Ensure components meet Class A surface requirements prior to paint
- Work closely with paint shop teams to ensure seamless handover
Assembly & Fitment
- Trial fit and align components where required
- Carry out minor adjustments to ensure correct fit and gap/flush targets
- Support build teams with component fitment readiness
