Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
An On-Cycle (i.e. programme delivery) Weights Engineering role requires assisting with, or ownership of the attribute for the programme, encompassing (but not limited to):
- Lead the coordination of vehicle weight data across all functional owners.
- Own programme‑level weight targets, including setting, balancing, and reporting status to Integration and senior teams.
- Utilisation of set control models to determine the mass and loads of all buildable derivatives on the programme.
- Lead resolution of key mass related issues, including loads, distribution, and target gaps.
- Calculate (where appropriate) vehicle mass properties from geometry.
