Position Title: Customer Quality Engineer
Duration: Contract
Location: Halewood (with occasional travel to the West Midlands)

Position Description:
- UID – EV-610; EV-609; EV-608 Vehicle NVH is a key technical department within the product creation process, leading the engineering from concept to customer.
- You will give the vehicles their unique characteristics, ensuring the many aspects of refinement required to achieve the customer expectations for all the Clients\’ programmes.
- It is all part of creating vehicles that delight customers and set us apart from the competition.
- The NVH Attributes Refinement Group encompasses 3 distinct teams; Prevention, Delivery and In-service Performance.
- Its responsible for strategy, methods, targets, testing, detection and resolution, specifically for the attributes of Squeak & Rattle and Water and Air Ingress across the full vehicle, systems and components.
- Operating from the very early phase of a vehicle programme, working cross functionally throughout design, development, manufacturing, launch until end of product life cycle.
- Your primary role will involve addressing and resolving attribute concerns related to S&R, body sealing and water leaks.
- You will lead the issue investigation process and establish root causes through close collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, and suppliers.
- A hands-on approach is essential during investigations, following 8D methodology, including the ability to interrogate drawings, models, and take measurements from production.
Skills Required:
- Automotive/Engineering degree or equivalent automotive experience preferred
- Ability to Plan work/Events and organise detailed activity to deliver the outcomes
- Demonstrable problem solving experience e.g. Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of problem solving
Experience Required:
- Automotive/Engineering degree or equivalent automotive experience preferred Demonstrate potential to strategize work streams based on the Business Plan
- Ability to Plan work/Events and organise detailed activity to deliver the outcomes
- Ability to lead large project/ resolve complex issues through leading cross functional teams
- Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Demonstrable problem solving experience e.g. Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of problem solving
- Good experience of quality tools (8D, Fish bone, FTA, PDCA, 5Y etc)
- Ability to analyse large data that translates into next actions / us of MS Office applications
- Ability to plan work in 2 weeks sprints, organise work based on priority and deliver against plan
- Being resourceful with Hands on complex problem solving capability
- Highly motivated, fast learner and ability to easily handle multiple tasks
- Ability to learn quickly new skills quickly (Have a Growth Mind-set)
- Demonstrate good negotiation skills to promote issues to next phase of investigation
- A proactive and personable nature to engage with cross functional areas.
- Knowledge and understanding of automotive manufacturing processes.
- Ability to deliver presentations to work groups and senior management
- A full UK driving licence
Experience Preferred:
- Automotive Engineering Degree/ Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience of New Model Launch or Vehicle Manufacturing operations
- Technical knowledge of vehicle engineering related to Squeaks & Rattle or Water Ingress Drive and motivation to achieve goals of team and self with minimal supervision
- Active experience of working to Agile methodologies (JIRA)
- Experience of working with the following company toolsets; Tableau, AIMs, IQM, Flags, IDS, TGW
- A working knowledge of Trim & Final, BIW, sealing systems
- A working experience of CAD or Digi-buck.
- Knowledge of material compatibility and joining technologies.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety/ risk assessments
