Applicants MUST have proof of immediate, on-going and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK and travel within the EU.

The PVO team, in which the Engineering Parts Logistics team are based, is a critical area within Product Engineering (PE) with an important role in the creation of prototype vehicles. Working under the Product Engineering Operations (PEO) function, we are directly responsible for all the Clients' prototype vehicle build preparation. Often seen as a key interface between Vehicle Programme, Vehicle Engineering & Manufacturing teams, PVO work to create a strategy for successful prototype builds and we are currently in an exciting period whilst the Client expands their product portfolio.

The main purpose of this role will be to support pre-production builds by obtaining and maintaining delivery promises from external suppliers. Ensuring delivery promises meet build requirements / escalating issues. Parts are owned from dispatch to receipt in the Clients' storage locations and building supplier relationships is an integral part of the role while ensuring all NRP (Non Released Parts) are delivered on time.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience of managing a portfolio of suppliers supporting production schedules
  • Experience of managing prototype suppliers during pre-production build phases
  • Transport Planning
  • Ability to maintain and interpret logistics data knowledge and skills with a broad understanding of the interfaces into vehicle platforms and plants
  • Strong IT skills and Microsoft package elements Power Point and Excel
  • Experience of working to KPI's
  • Knowledge of the latest technology and processes with a view to driving best‑in‑class logistics solutions
  • Knowledge of GPIRS / CMMS and SAP
  • Experience with using Microsoft SharePoint, Tableau and Macros
