The purpose of this role is to coordinate the development, testing and verification of new systems and components or commodities into the Cockpit system. The role requires the individual to use the Client's systems to set up and manage the test plan progression through to sign-off.
- Checking all appropriate Client standards are met throughout design maturation.
- Setting up the test and development plan for several new cockpit programmes.
- Managing RMDV (the Clients' management tracking system) deck for respective programmes, setting and cascading targets to relevant areas.
- Creating and updating Bill of Materials for test parts.
- Obtaining quotes from suppliers and test houses to complete plan and liaising with value for money team to gain approval.
- Preparing parts for testing, evaluating results, resolving any problems arising, writing reports and filing back to RMDV.
Daily interface/programme communication will be to the Cockpit Module Leader.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Previous experience of resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment.
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred.
- A good understanding of the Digi buck and Design Verification processes are required.
- An understanding of Engineering Standards and Test Procedures.
