Contechs is recruiting for a Vehicle Efficiency Attribute Lead Engineer to join a leading automotive OEM based in Gaydon. This is a pivotal role within the Vehicle Architecture team, where you will lead the delivery of key vehicle efficiency attributes including driving range, energy consumption, fuel economy, and CO emissions across advanced vehicle programmes. You will work closely with the Efficiency Product Owner and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring targets are robust, achievable, and aligned to both customer expectations and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Efficiency Product Owner in delivering core vehicle efficiency attributes
- Lead strategic target setting including benchmarking, legislative requirements, and customer data analysis
- Cascade and arbitrate targets across key vehicle energy nodes, including: Aerodynamics, Weight, Powertrain efficiency, Climate systems, HV battery energy
- Ensure compatibility between vehicle-level efficiency targets and system/sub-system performance
- Conduct virtual verification activities and data-driven analysis
- Identify, assess, and communicate risks and opportunities to influence engineering decisions
- Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering
