Senior Engineer Body – Functional Safety
Contract 6 months – Outside IR35
Location – Leamington Spa – HYBRID working

Applicants MUST have proof of immediate, on-going and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK and travel within the EU.

Role responsibilities

• Delivering ISO 26262:2018 work products specified within the Functional Safety Plan for Items related to the Body Control domain, such as Exterior Lighting, Washer-Wiper and Occupant Safety.
• Maintain all ISO 26262:2018 Work Products for assigned Items including Item Definition, HARAs, Functional Safety Concepts, and Functional Safety Requirements.
• Own the development and execution of Integration, Verification and Validation test specifications and other relevant documents/analyses.
• Own the development of all planned ISO 26262:2018 work products up to and including the Item Safety Case.
• Conduct technical discussions with suppliers and technical partners as required.
• Co-ordinate multi-party activities to ensure synchronised delivery and testing in accordance with their Development Interface Agreement (DIA).
• Implement mitigation strategies when things go off-plan. Build a network of experts to help solve complex issues.

Nice to Have Criteria:

• Masters degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic or Automotive Engineering, Batchelors degree and equivalent industrial experience.
• Minimum of 3 years experience of functional safety within the body control domain.
• Experience creating ISO 26262:2018 Parts 3 and 4 work products, in particular FSC/FSR, ITS/ITR and SGVP/SGVR.
• Experience in Integration, Verification of FSRs and Safety Goal Validation.
• Experience managing suppliers in accordance with a Development Interface Agreement
• Articulate, self-motivated, inspiring individual who is highly approachable and keen to learn.
• Dynamic and pro-active attitude to problem solving
