Based in Bourneville with hybrid options, this is a 12-month contract role supporting nutrition and well-being strategies across all categories including biscuit, gum, candy, chocolate, beverages, and meals for the business unit. Your interactions will be across multiple functional groups such as product development, marketing, regulatory and scientific affairs, global teams, and nutrition organisations.
How you will contribute:
- Working with regulatory and scientific affairs, brand teams, consumer insights, nutrition research, and legal to promote nutrition and well-being messages and claim development across various media (packaging, advertising, websites, recipes, materials for nutrition/health professionals, etc.).
- Providing strategic guidance to product development and marketing on nutrition criteria, assessing, and reporting compliance with established internal nutrition requirements.
- Leading internal nutrition and well-being education programs to increase employee knowledge and awareness on relevant topics.
- Implementing local health influencer outreach programs and nutrition conference strategies to drive brand credibility and growth.
- Partnering with regulatory and science affairs, corporate affairs, and global nutrition network to support external influencing strategies and stakeholders’ communication related to the nutrition agenda.
What you will bring:
- Nutrition communications, preferably in the food industry.
- Food regulations and claim application.

Responsibilities:
- Developing and supporting nutrition & wellbeing-related message/claim development for key brands covering all categories working with brand teams, consumer insights, regulatory affairs, nutrition research, and legal. Adapting global for local context as needed.
- Providing marketing teams with support across various communication media (packaging, advertising, websites, documents aimed at healthcare professionals, etc.).
- Supporting the development of scientific communication materials/resources on a broad array of nutrition & wellbeing topics for professional and consumer audiences.
- Supporting execution of health influencer outreach programs to drive brand credibility and growth.
- Supporting internal nutrition & wellbeing education programs increasing knowledge and awareness on relevant topics.
- Supporting nutrition conference strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum BSc Hons degree in Human Nutrition or a related field is required.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of food industry experience.
- Robust expertise in Human Nutrition.
- Stays abreast of latest food and nutrition trends.
- Understanding of applied nutrition and industry, government, and professional health community practices related to food and nutrition issues.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to translate scientific knowledge into relevant and credible messages and deliver powerful presentations.
- Experience identifying consumer-driven nutrition insights, trends, and opportunities, and connecting with scientific knowledge to develop simple, accurate, and supportable consumer messages that drive sales.
- Strong influencing/impact skills.
- Project management skills, ability to multi-task, and meet multiple deadlines.
- Some technical knowledge of food categories processes, technologies, ingredients, and formulae.
- Ability to handle complexity, working with cross-country/category teams as well as a large number of internal partners.
- Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration within x-regional nutrition teams, solid inter-personal skills, project management, team-player, and stakeholder management.
