Vehicle Integration Engineer
Contract – Gaydon. INSIDE IR35 Rate up to £33.88 Umbrella PAYE. Applicants must have proof of immediate, on‑going and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK and travel within the EU.
About the company
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM, based in Gaydon, who are seeking a Vehicle Integration Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Take a leading role supporting the Efficiency Product Owner in delivering data‑driven, intelligent, optimised energy nodes to support Vehicle Efficiency attributes.
- Collaborate with a wide range of business stakeholders and engineers to deliver vehicle programmes against the team Quality Operating Schedule (QOS).
- Identify risks and opportunities in a robust data‑driven manner to inform and influence business decisions and engineering direction related to vehicle energy nodes.
- Support squads to plan and share work through facilitating focused and engaging scrum events; conduct daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives; identify and facilitate removal of impediments and risks.
- Facilitate stakeholder collaboration wherever required and coordinate and contribute towards Vehicle Efficiency attribute verifications and data analysis.
- Support effective Vehicle Efficiency attribute governance throughout vehicle programmes, identifying and making recommendations to handle risks and opportunities as they arise.
- Collaborate with tools and methods teams to support development of Vehicle Efficiency attribute; contribute and add value to continuous improvement project work where programme delivery imperatives allow.
- Undertake any other work as directed by line manager.
Experience Required
- Knowledge and/or experience of working with Agile operating principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Evidence of a methodical, structured approach to problem solving.
- Strong presentation skills with ability to use data and visualisations to articulate complex risks, opportunities and recommendations in an easily digestible way.
- Educated to Degree level (ideally with a focus on Mechanical or System Engineering).
Experience Preferred
- Technical engineering background.
- Experience of Vehicle attribute and/or vehicle system delivery.
