Position Title: CDL Driver/Technician Duration: Contract Location: California, USA Key Responsibilities: Provide transport of the Clients' test vehicle between various locations in California via truck and trailer Professionally document vehicle transport information including inspections. Technician support for vehicle maintenance and repairs. Loading, unloading and transport of test vehicles via a truck and 3-4 car trailer Towing experience with multiple trailer types (gooseneck, and bumper pull) Transport vehicle record keeping and safety inspections Vehicle and trailer maintenance knowledge. Basic mechanical skills for vehicle repairs Support Proving Ground activities, event prep, misc. assignments Possess a California CDL class A license Position is (4) 10 hour shifts per week Transport vehicles between test site locations Ability to load and secure automobiles and or cargo on various trailers Including non-running vehicles with winch Forklift certification Computer Skills - Email, Microsoft Office Basic technician level skills for vehicle and trailer maintenance Diesel Heavy Mechanical Technician a plus Documentation Vehicle mileage log Pre-trip vehicle inspection 5+ years of CDL driving experience 2+ years of demonstrated experience in vehicle technical service Ability to load and secure vehicle and cargo on multiple styles of trailers Strong recording keeping skills Ability to work with dynamic responsibility changes Excellent written communication and presentation skills Flexibility in assignments Valid CDL Class A Driver's License and satisfactory driving record Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel Outlook, and Teams Nice to Have Criteria: Physical Demands, Work Environment, Travel Expectations Able to work in a culturally diverse team environment and in harsh climate conditions (Summer +120F) Travel up to 10% to support product testing Ability to climb on and off trailers to load vehicles Lift up to 50 lbsWe are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
