- In this position, the designer will develop compelling graphic design languages, translate 2D concepts into complex decals and vehicle liveries, and masterfully visualize these themes across intricate 3D automotive surfaces
Key Responsibilities
- 2D Graphic Design Excellence
- Drive the creation and development of high-impact graphic design concepts based on design briefs.
- Visualize cohesive 2D graphic themes, typography, badging, and visual elements tailored specifically for automotive products and components.
- 3D Graphic Design Execution
- Demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of complex 3D vehicle surfaces.
- Masterfully translate, map, and adapt 2D graphic layouts onto physical and digital 3D vehicle envelopes to ensure distortion-free, perfectly aligned replication.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration
- Collaborate seamlessly with Exterior, Interior, and Component Designers, as well as Clay/Digital Modelers, to harmonize graphic design applications with the vehicle's overall surface language and design intent.
- Visualization & VR
- Prepare highly detailed digital models for high-end rendering and real-time Virtual Reality (VR) reviews to facilitate design evaluations, immersive presentations, and senior leadership sign-offs.
- Workflow Innovation
- Actively explore, pilot, and integrate emerging design technologies including AI-assisted creation tools, generative design, and parametric workflows to accelerate and elevate the creative process.
- Prototyping & Validation
- Prepare and scale 2D vector plots for physical decal and livery prototyping.
- Handle the hands‑on application and alignment of graphics onto physical
Skills Required
- 2D Design Mastery - Expert-level command of Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator and Photoshop)
- 3D Visualization - High proficiency in industry-standard visualization and rendering software, specifically Autodesk VRED and/or Unreal Engine.
