I am currently recruiting on behalf of a client who create exceptional cars that blend British elegance with ferocious intelligence to forge a new legacy, forever. Having offices in Leamington Spa and Shalford, Surrey they are looking for a Project Engineer Chassis subframes to join their team on a rolling contract basis.
42 hours per week, outside IR35.
Job Description
- Lead the design and development of subframe components, ensuring structural integrity, durability, and performance requirements are met.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to define subframe requirements based on vehicle performance specifications.
- Design subframes using CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX) and conduct simulations to evaluate strength, load distribution, and overall performance.
- Review and spin Catia designs.
Integration with Chassis Systems:
- Work closely with chassis system engineers to ensure seamless integration of subframes with other chassis components such as suspension and powertrain.
- Ensure the subframe design complements overall vehicle performance, safety, and NVH targets.
Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure subframe designs meet regulatory requirements, including crash safety standards and environmental considerations.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, materials advancements, and regulatory changes relevant to chassis system development.
