A high level of technical knowledge & experience of Powertrain component & system design, packaging, engine test & production.

Educated to degree level in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering

A passion for high performance powertrain engineering.

Adopts a creative & thoughtful approach to concept design and solving engineering problems with good attention to detail.

Excellent feasibility assessment skills including design for manufacture

A positive, proactive attitude with a high level of self-motivation to deliver excel

Detailed design & engineering of components and systems from concept to production.

New concept layouts for components of on-vehicle engine systems and vehicle integration & package schemes leading to detailed designs for prototype and production release and manufacture.

Working with suppliers to ensure components and systems meet technical and package targets and to deliver detailed designs on time to predetermined quality, cost and weight targets and within DFM requirements.

Ensures the components interface seamlessly to the wider car including structural interfaces, cooling systems, low and high voltage electrical systems and control systems.

Support powertrain component & vehicle development activities, manufacture and launch planning

Understand and define the package constraints for the components.
